If you’re looking to get your hands dirty and have-a-go at pottery please visit our Aylesford School of Ceramics website. Advance booking is essential.

Shop & Browse Gallery

The pottery has its own gallery which is open seven days a week. It sells domestic studio ware and garden ware, both functional and decorative ceramics. These pieces can be purchased exclusively in person at the on-site gallery.

Opening Hours

Aylesford Pottery and the adjoined gallery is open for browsing and shopping 10am-5pm, Monday-Sunday.

How to Find Us

Aylesford Pottery is situated within the beautiful grounds of The Friars in Aylesford, Kent. Steeped in medieval history, it is an inspirational place to visit for the day. Once you have entered The Friars you will find the pottery at the end of the main car park.

By Car: Car parking is free of charge for visitors to Aylesford Pottery.

From M20 Junction 6 follow signs to Eccles and The Friars.

From M2 Junction 3, then follow signs (towards Maidstone A229) to Eccles and The Friars.

By Public Transport:

You will find Aylesford Pottery a pleasant 30 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride from Aylesford railway station. From Maidstone East railway station take a taxi or a bus to The Friars. Bus number 155 runs from Maidstone East to The Friars Mon – Sat: until 6.00 pm, there is no bus service on Sundays and Public Holidays. Alternatively, from West Malling railway station take a taxi.
